The IEEE Bangalore Standards Special Interest Group (SIG), a joint initiative between the IEEE Standards Association and IEEE Bangalore Section, hosted an IEEE Standards workshop in Bangalore on 23 June 2016, targeted towards industry and technology leaders from the key ICT, energy, and medical sectors. The workshop shared information on developing standards within IEEE, with a focus on verticals for Smart Cities, and shared use-case studies where experts presented their work based on IEEE 802.15.4™ (Zigbee), IEEE 802.11s™ (WiFi), and IEEE 1901™ (PLC) to over 125 attendees.
